This case study explores the bespoke joinery package provided for MOSS HQ, which involved the design, manufacture, and installation of a wide variety of high-quality joinery elements. These included teapoints, drinks stations, islands, banquette and booth seating, collaboration and design tables, feature paneling, storage units, and a reception desk. The bespoke nature of the joinery ensures that the elements are perfectly tailored to meet the unique aesthetic and functional needs of the office space.

Objective: To deliver a bespoke, functional, and aesthetically pleasing joinery package that enhances the MOSS HQ office environment, providing both collaborative spaces and comfortable workstations.
Scope: The project encompassed the complete design and fitting of a wide range of joinery items for the office, including collaborative workspaces, social zones, and storage areas.

The Process

The process for the bespoke joinery package at MOSS HQ was carefully managed to ensure a streamlined and personalised experience at every stage. Our approach was centred on clear communication, collaboration, and attention to detail, delivering a high-quality product that met both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Initial Design Meetings and Concept Development

The process began with a series of design meetings with the client to understand their vision, functional needs, and the overall aesthetic for MOSS HQ. These meetings were crucial for establishing a comprehensive brief that covered everything from the general layout to specific requirements for each element, such as teapoints, seating, and collaboration tables.

Client Consultation: Our team met with key stakeholders at MOSS HQ and our client to discuss their requirements and expectations, ensuring we fully understood their needs.

Sample Selection and Material Sourcing

Once the concept was agreed upon, we moved on to selecting materials and providing physical samples for the client’s approval. Our ability to source a range of premium materials allowed us to offer flexibility in achieving the desired look and feel.

Client Approval: After the client selected their preferred materials, we finalised the material choices, ensuring they complemented the overall design vision

Material Samples: We provided the client with a variety of material samples, including wood finishes, upholstery fabrics, and other surfaces, allowing them to make informed decisions.

CAD Design and Technical Drawings

At this stage, our skilled in-house CAD team took over, transforming the agreed-upon designs into precise, technical drawings. This was a crucial phase in ensuring the bespoke elements would fit perfectly within the space, with all dimensions accurately mapped out.

Detailed CAD Drawings: Our team produced highly detailed CAD drawings, showcasing each joinery element, from teapoints to storage units. These drawings ensured that every detail was accounted for and that the design would work seamlessly within the office layout.
Revisions and Refinements: Any client feedback or requests for adjustments were incorporated into the CAD drawings, allowing for refinements before moving to production.

Workshop Production

With the designs finalised, our skilled team in the workshop began crafting the bespoke joinery pieces. Using the highest-quality materials and the latest techniques, we ensured that each element met the exact specifications set out in the CAD designs.

Installation and Final Touches

The final phase of the project involved our expert installation team, who worked on-site to ensure that the bespoke joinery pieces were installed to the highest standards, seamlessly integrating into MOSS HQ’s office space.

Final Inspection: Once the installation was complete, a final inspection was carried out to ensure that all elements were finished to perfection, and any last-minute adjustments were addressed promptly.

On-Site Installation: Our installation team, experienced in handling bespoke furniture, carefully transported and installed each element. This included everything from the reception desk to the collaborative tables and feature paneling.
